Easter

We had a great Easter. We went to church and then went to my parents for lunch with the family. It was a cold day but we were able to get Reagan's Easter egg hunt in before the rain came in.

My baby looks so big!

The bracelets were a huge hit!

Easter Eggs

Wow! I'm not sure where the last month has gone. Easter has come and gone and I am way behind on my posts!

We dyed Easter Eggs with Reagan this year. She wasn't totally into it but we are still glad we tried. Than totally got into it!

Reagan was really more interested in decorating her shirt with stickers rather than the eggs we dyed.

Raggedy Andy

Reagan got a box from Grams and Poppy in the mail today. It was a BIG Raggedy Andy. I was very excited for her because I had a small Raggedy Andy and a Raggedy Ann doll when I was little. Reagan and Andy were instant friends. They have spent a LOT of time together this evening.

Andy ate dinner with us!
Reagan even shared her Chicken nuggets with him.

Weekend Project= New swing set!!!

We spent the entire weekend building a new swing set for Reagan. We did lots of searching for a simple swing set that came in a kit but had NO luck finding one we liked, So Than said "Lets build one ourselves"! Than did a GREAT Job!!!  He had an idea of what he wanted in his head and was able to build it no problem. Reagan and I helped him out by handing him tools and I painted the set but really Than did most of the work by himself. Here are some pictures of our fabulous project. We took Reagan to the doctor this morning and she has an eye infection which is why she looks out of it in a lot of the pictures, but it didn't stop her from playing on her new swing set. She never stopped saying "whee"!!! She loves it and I am hoping it gives her something to do most of the day!

Who needs a swing set in a box when you have Than as your husband/daddy!

We had to call some friends over to help move it over to the grass.

Fun at Hume Lake

We went up to Hume Lake last weekend. We decided it was probably our last chance to get up there before the snow melted. There was still a lot of snow! We had a great time. We did a lot of laying around but it was much needed. We also took Reagan Ice Skating. She loved it and loved the attention she got from all of the college student who were up there for camp.

Big Girl Potty

Reagan has started to show lots of interest in potty training lately. When her friend Aubrey (who is a year older) comes over Reagan is always so interested in how she uses the big girl potty. Reagan has also been taking her diaper off on regular basis, mostly when there is peepee in it but a few times with poopoo. GROSS!!! Reagan will usually tell me when she has "peepee" or "poopoo" and then follows it with a "oooww". So tonight on our weekly target trip we picked up the big girl potty. We will start slow and just start putting her on it a few times through out the day, before bath and bed and see where that goes. I was trying to hold on the whole potty training thing until summer but we may need to start sooner.

Here are a few pictures of her tonight. I am pretty sure pulling on the toilet paper was the best part for her!

What a month!

Wow! What a month it has been for the Shelton family! So glad it is over. Through all of the struggles our family has gone through it has really caused me reflect on whats important. Thankfully our family is believers and we have the ability to turn everything over to the Lord, thank goodness for that...but why is it so hard to do sometimes? I have learned that I am even more of a worrier than I thought I was and I had a really hard time letting go of my fears this last month. I have always been a "Daddy's girl" and  it is very hard for me to see him in pain! I read and re-read Isaiah 35: 4 over and over this month. "Say to those with fearful hearts, be strong, do not fear; Your God will come. He will come with vengeance with devine retribution he will come to save you".  Also, Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dimayed, for I am your God. I will strenthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand".

I have spent a lot of time on my knees in prayer this month....God is good!

It is times like these that just make me so thankful that I have an awesome family. I have a wonderful husband and the perfect daughter and not only a great immediate family but I am so blessed to have such fabulous in laws who love the Lord and are such great examples of Christ's love. I also have great friends who really care about me and my family. There have been so many people who have called and e-mailed to check in to see how things are going and if there was anything they could do to help. They have diligently been in prayer and as we all know the power of prayer is great. I have so much to thankful for and I pray I do not lose sight of those things...even when times are tough.

Please continue to pray for healing over the months to come... my grandparents should be moved up here April 1st, yeah!! I have missed them desperately.
